Greg's Colour Picker

This Applet allows you to Select foreground and background colours

Adjust the Colours of either the back or foreground to see how they work together in your particular application.
Most of the functions are fairly obvious. You can:-

The Applet presents the colour values in either hex or [Red , Green , Blue] values these can then be simply highlighted in the text area, using your mouse. Then cut the figures into your computers clipboard using what ever technique is suitable in your operating environment (in Windows press the Ctl and the C key together). Once in the clipboard you can paste the figures in the appropriate place as Parameters for other applets or applications.

As you can see the are Three types of background colours, light medium and dark, choose whichever is representation appropriate to you. These represent the highlight or lowlight versions of the colours. Different components use one of these.

I have finally finished the 1.1 Applet however it is pure JDK 1.1 this will only run properly in the JDK1.1 Appletviewer, at the moment. It also works in a limited way in the new HotJava beta browser but loses most of its functions. This I'm sure will rectified in the Final release of HotJava.

If you are interested in the not very elegant source code I can Email it to you
Drop me a line .The Source Code the classes this includes these files and ColourPicker1_1.class and ColourPicker1_1.java (the versions for JDK1.1) and the relevant html's so you can use either in the JDK1.1 Appletviewer. Together with the source code for each. The 1.1 version can run as an application as well as an Applet.
It is here if you have a browser that can view JDK 1.1 Files
If you have any ideas or questions drop me a line [email protected]
