This was a poem I found laying around... The ending is quite sad... Try reading it if you have no time... Check out the rest of the site!
Why Bother
Outside kids are brawling,
Its more then she can bear...
Ben sends Jenny Sprawling
As He throws her by the hair.
Hubby left her monthes ago,
He could tolerate no more;
Not as if she didn't know,
Love left long before.
With mail more sorrow,
Accounts keep rolling in..
Trouble will oon follow,
The rent has bounced again.
Proverty and wounded pride
She swallowed with a smile,
But now feeling deep inside
Tells her life is not worthwhile.
Four and twenty sedatives,
Enough to stop a horse..
For interested relatives,
She left a note, of course.
The noise and commotion
Of cogested city streets;
No-one showed emotion,
The traffic never missed a beat.
