If you have been scammed by someone, or even a program then please e-mail us your user name (no password) and the item/thing, and it will be posted below.

The only way to get out of being scammed is to know what to look for in a scam. We've catagoriezed scams into 3 groups. HTML scams, program scams, and secret scams.

HTML scams are basically scams that send the scammer your user name and password without you knowing. This is how it works. People copy the HTML of the login page (Oops you forgot to login...) then post it as one of their pages on their site. Then they link to that page, usually as a quick link to a game or something, but when you click the link, it brings you to the Oops page. To avoid typing in your password, look for these features in a fake-login:
- The address bar. If it says something other than the normal www.neopets.com/login.... than right away you can tell its a fake.
- Geocities has a banner in the top right corner. If that appears, then you know it's fake.
- Most free web-hosting sites have some sort of pop-up or advertisment on the users' pages. Look for them.
- Also before you click the link that takes you to the fake login, put your cursor over the link, then look at your status bar (at the bottom of your browser) and if it says anything other than the normal Neopets address, you know its fake.

Program scams. They are usually posted on a persons website. Most say something like 'give me you user name and password and i'll install a unlimited neopoint program onto you account'. Don't believe it. It is virtually impossible to put a program that constantly multiplies you neopoints onto your account. Think for a sec... Where would they put it? Shop? No room. Webpage? No file access. Guild? To commonly viewed. So tell me, where would they put it?

Secret Scams. These sorts of scams are mostly done in the chat rooms on Neopets. Most scammers might say 'For a rare item, i'll tell you a NP making secret'. This is against the rules on neopets. If you see anything in the chats like that, then report them immediatly. This is for 3 reasons. One, to get rid of those pesky scammers, two they waste your time reporting them, and three, it's one less person playing Neopets.

That sums up most of the scams. There are currently no listing about being scammed right now, but if you have been scammed, then e-mail us.
