Homid Description:  She is an average-built girl, and with her hispanic features she has a rough beauty about her. At five foot four inches tall, her 21 year old body is just slightly smaller than average. Her raven hair matches her dark, heavy tan and brown eyes. She is wearing a dusty, dirty white tunic and matching course-fabric dress. Her shoulder-length hair is somewhat akimbob, making her appear very scruffy, though perhaps she would look good if cleaned up. Archid Description:  A snake. Eighty feet long, up to four feet in diameter, and likely weighing in at about 4000 lbs. The scales are a pale brown color, almost yellow, with occasional bands of darker brown running around the barrel. A blunt, wedge-shaped head terminates the body.

Character Story

She grew up in the salt flats and deserts of Arizona, Nevada, and California. Her tribe lived in the desolate places where only the toughened people who had been living there for generations could survive. Her tribe lived in a sun-baked shanty of mud and adobe with the rest of her tribe.
In the 30's, the white men with thier fancy cars and great wealth came and took her tribe off of the very land that her people had been thrust into. They became as the middle-eastern peoples in their deserts; Nomads. Her tribe wandered the desert landscape, eventually purchasing vehicles with the money the white man gave them. As a little girl, she lived with her family in the winnabeggo. Part of the tribal caravan.

She was 11 years old when she dreamed herself truely awakened. She was a great serpent of the desert, living here for generations on end.
In one incarnation, she was an incan who met a group of strange sailors who came in large boats of wood and had rifles. Many died by thier strange magic and loud noises.
Sometime later, as she remembered it, there was a great push of the white-man across her continent. Pushing her people further north until a different set of white men killed many of her tribe.
She spent the next few weeks in a stupor. He family ignored and her food barely eaten, as she remembered all the atrocities done to her people by the invaders. All the wonderful lives and splendid cultures brought to an end. This went on until she remembered a gathering of similar people, a clutch, not to far away from where her family was. Then she just up and disappeared from her old life.

She spent the next few years with the other mokole of the Burning Salt clutch. She learned how to control the mnesis, how to look without being lost, and how to learn from it. She became wise in the occult and sensative in the ways of those around her as she grew through her teenage years. As a gift to her, she recieved a Mask of Mnante fetish from the clutch's Setting Sun for memories shared between the two of them.
Then she left. Off to walk the endless deserts of her home, wandering the memory.

 

 

 

She gasped and sat up. Blinking at the fallen darkness of night, she shuddered and rubbed her arms. She had started the quest as a suchid. Now she was a homid.
