1756, the status of Taiwanese changed to "Civilized Barbarians"

1777, the status of Taiwanese was changed to become "Chinese"

1895, Japanese invasion, they tried to convert them into Japanese

1954, Chiang Kai-shek fled to Taiwan with 0.94 million Chinese
