| Summer/Love I was going to put the meanings of the poems here. I decided not to do that, obviously. Even though some of these poems have pretty obvious meanings, I wanted to leave each one open to interpretation by the reader. | I feel this warmth And it is growing Getting closer and closer A feeling inside me is growing It's this summer/love And as its time gets ever nearer The clouds part And my vision becomes clearer A time for happiness A time for laughter It's time for summer/love Hoping it will last forever and after And time ticks by But we are busy in our heads above Having too much fun Lost in our summer/love The end grows near But everything in life has an end It didn't feel like long ago That all of this did begin So jealous of those Whom are forever lost in their summer/love Not worried about anything else Only what they want to be thinking of The warmth begins to fade And a cool is moving through Trying to hold onto summer/love But there's nothing we can do A cold wind blows Knocking me back like a heavy shove And it's over in a second That's the end of my summer/love |
