| Slipping Away I was going to put the meanings of the poems here. I decided not to do that, obviously. Even though some of these poems have pretty obvious meanings, I wanted to leave each one open to interpretation by the reader. | I lay here and think About the last couple months I lay here and think About out last conversation We shed our shells That protected us from eachother I watched as they fell And we were where we started For a day I was happy Then you left me again Saw the situation get sappy And then my world changed Something took over me It sucked at my soul And you couldn't help me I felt my fingers slip At first no one believed I never thought before But, you are all I need I know you're not there And finally I stood I held my head high I knew that I could And you were there And here I am again I feel it It wasn't part of the plan I am slipping away again |
