| Only The Future I was going to put the meanings of the poems here. I decided not to do that, obviously. Even though some of these poems have pretty obvious meanings, I wanted to leave each one open to interpretation by the reader. | Say you still love me And that you're always gonna try But are you there to hold me When I break down and cry I know that you mean well Trying to fill the void in me Sending me letters and things in the mail But we both know it cannot be Why drag out the pain But I can't ask that and be true 'Cause only three words are keeping me sane And those are "I love you." Why can't I take a step forward Why can't I move on Am I a coward 'Cause I just can't carry on Dreams of what could be It's all that fills my head It's all that I can see Want you holding me when I lie in bed Gotta get you outta my mind Push you away But you're there all the time And I'm thinking of you every day Will I ever get over you And if I can Then what will I do Looking down at empty hands But only the future knows Will it be too late See what it shows 'Til then I'll just have to wait |
