| My Declaration I was going to put the meanings of the poems here. I decided not to do that, obviously. Even though some of these poems have pretty obvious meanings, I wanted to leave each one open to interpretation by the reader. | I love you so much And I know that you feel the same for me It's in your eyes Your kiss You every move And it's in your touch You're my comfort when I'm down My laughter when I'm sad My voice when I can't find the words My company when no one else is around You are my strength when I am weak You are my smile when nothing seems right You make me strong You make me happy You keep me going Even when the road is just too long You give me courage Yet, you've blessed me with fear You let me fly To follow my dreams You give me the room To discover for myself But, you guide me down When I'm lost too high You've taken me as yours And I've taken you as mine Your smile makes me happy And your tears remind me to never take you for granted You know just what to say Always encouraging me to be me You provide me the support I need To follow my dreams And to pursue even the impossible Yet, you know just when to step in You know exactly when to hold me And you know just how to brush my worries away You're my light at the end of the tunnel You're the fire that burns deep within me My desire, hope, joy, love, motivation, pride, companion You are my only You are my best friend The one I turn to when I need to talk You're the one whos shoulder I cry on The one I trust and share with The very one I'll be with 'til the end You're my partner You encourage me when I'm lacking nerve You protect me from the worries of life From the evil that may lurk around the corner You, my dear, are my dreams, fantasies and reality All bundled into one beautiful package I know that you'll be in my future I know that you'll be standing beside me still And through all my poetry and kisses I still cannot convey the many ways you make me happy Or the ways you make me feel so loved The ways that you make me hope for our future And for all of this And so much more I promise myself to you To be yours forever To love you to the fullest To stand by you for the rest of your life and mine To always be true to you This is my declaration |
