| Change I was going to put the meanings of the poems here. I decided not to do that, obviously. Even though some of these poems have pretty obvious meanings, I wanted to leave each one open to interpretation by the reader. | And you wonder why Your life is going nowhere Yet, still the days go by You reach out and try to grab time Trying to get back all you've lost But you're walking a thin line Wishing you hadn't wasted so much Looking back on yourself Wishing you had kept in touch And you know that it's too late No where to go but down Empty feelings that you'll always hate You grab the rope And you climb with all your might Only thing keeping you going is hope Grit your teeth Wrap your hands And your blistered feet And when you make it It's a whole new world 'Cause you didn't just take it No, you can't change the past But turn yourself around Face a new future and make it last |
