Solid Mounts and Mount Inserts

What is the difference between the two?

Solid mounts are a whole new mount that doesn't have any rubber inserts. They are solid mounts that offer no vibration stopping properties.

Mount Inserts are just simply pieces of plastic(anything) that take up the free space in the stock mount to make it more solid.

What are the performance differences?

Well they both normally offer good performance, the solid mount will offer slightly better performance.

How do they help performance?

Solid mounts and Inserts will do three things. One is reduce wheel hop, 2nd is reduce engine power loss to engine movement up the hood, and three will increase engine virbation. Wheel hop is basically when you tires hop when your tires loss grip and spin. Engine virbation will mainly be felt at idle and startup. But mounts and inserts both help with takeoff, alot sometime. But not needed for the everyday driver, but a good mod for anyone looking to keeping alittle more power to the ground.
