Today he takes some time off his labors to spend time with his grandaughter, Paige. She is at that curious age where she touches everything. So they go for a walk so she can see trees, birds, and squirrels. Most of the way he carries her. Then when they get back home she wants to touch every flower and blade of grass. It was a fun day he had with her.

Now the barn floor and sugar shack floor and the walk way is ready for the cement, just waiting for delivery. He will need six yards of cement to finish all he has ready. After cement is poured he has to finish it in a broom sweep for safety. A slick, smooth finish could be dangerous. When the cement is ready then he can start putting up the walls. So his summer is pretty much planned. But it will be great to see the finished buildings.

Sometimes at night he goes to his computer and goes to chatrooms to relax and chat with friends. He can communicate with people from all over the world. Most times its nice there but sometimes people get ideas and start making trouble with his friends for talking to him. This person takes his name with only a slight difference in spelling. After several people put their information together they discover its a woman trying to make trouble. A woman he met online has sort of claimed him as hers but he says no! Never happen! He has a kind heart and people can sense this. He goes in resturants and ladies want to sit and talk. Or maybe they think he needs taking care of. Whatever their reasons they like him.

Now he must check the trails again. Make sure they are all clear and check his maple trees. A sick tree means no sap the following spring. He needs to keep an eye on the beavers too. He needs to be sure no more trees are cut down. He should replant the ones already cut down to keep his grove intact.

Finally his cement is delivered. The floor poured, floated out, board leveled, and swept for rough finish. Now to complete the jobs he has started.
