The Oldest City

I walk along the streets here and see so much from the
past. The city gates still stand on two sides of the city. The old fort is still there strong and true. The\ famous lions at the entrance to the bridge still
standing proud. The silver cross standing tall at the
old mission. The oldest school where the first settlers started learning the three r's. The people that come here to visit the past and remember our
heritage. The sacrifices made to make this a great country. They also come for sport and fishing. Days and nights spent on the beautiful beaches. Moonlight rides up the inlet on the paddlewheel boats. The
beauty of the oldest city, the coquina walls of the
city and lots of the buildings. The palm trees waving
in the breezes. This is a place you must see. You can
walk the streets at night without fear. You can ride
the tour trains and hear the history here. You can
drive on some of the beaches any time at night. You
can park and walk on the beaches, see the moon sparkle
on the waves. It's a beautiful place and fun too!
