For walking through the woods looking and listening for death
So I could walk through the woods and look and listen for life

For sleeping on the ground for nights on end and sometimes in the mud
So I could sleep out in the woods for fun

For leaving home and family to go to other strange and foreign lands
So I could stay with my family in my country in peace
