I had a hero once
He was my golden knight
He could have been my soulmate
My one true love
But he didn't want that
He fell into the arms of a princess
She cast her spell
And he was lost to me
Tho I tried to save him
He kept pulling away
So I let go for his happiness
And he fell smiling all the way
I was pushed back in the shadows once more
Alone and forgotten
In my search for happiness
I have had only glimmers
For a moment he was shinning brightly
But now the light is dimmed
He was all I admired in a Hero
A gentle man and a strong one too
A man of faith in his ideals
A believer in the goodness of others
Now he is gone and tho my heart is hurting
It will heal
Life will go on
I can only wish him joy and happiness in his life
I will go on with mine
I will continue my search for happiness
Somewhere out there is my true hero
My knight in shinning armor
The love of my life
The one meant for only me
Some day he will find me
And I will be waiting
