When my day is filled with sunshine and laughter
Will you be there?

To share in the joy I feel When my heart is sad and my eyes dripping with sorrow
Will you be there?

To comfort me, to hold me and let me know you care
When the days are long and weary
And the nights are cold and dark
Will you be there?

To hold me and make them seem shorter and keep me warm at night
When I look around for someone to share my joys to talk too always

To listen when I say what troubles me to help me to work it out
When I'm down and no one seems to care why I feel that way, If I come to you

When time has covered my face and age has took its toll on my body

To hold on to when I falter, to take my hand and walk with me
To help me remember what we shared?

When all I can remember is the days of the past and talk about the joy of life
To remember our times spent together over the years Will you be there?

With a word or two to encourage me to recall the good times
To dry my eyes over the bad times behind us Will you be there?

When life is over and we are no more
When our souls walk among the heavens.
If I search for you will you be there?

To take my hand when I reach out to you to walk with me through all eternity
