The Wooded Glen
There she is walking through the forest. The shadows
of the trees hiding the nakednes of her silloette. She
is a child of nature, a woman of peace. This is where
she comes to get in touch with her inner being. In a
clearing in the dark woods is a small cabin. This is
her secret hide away. It is beside a small clear pool.
Here she cleanses her body as nature cleanses her
soul. As she walks into the water she sees her
reflection there before her. A gentle breeze ruffles
her hair and causes ripples in the water and her
reflection disappears. She doesn't mind she is happy
with how she looks, maybe just a few pounds too much
but not bad. She has been here four days and soon she
must return to the city. To the awful smells and the
noises. If only she could stay here where the air is
fresh and scented of nature. Here where the peaceful
sounds of birds song is all she hears. Here where she
can stand naked in the rain and taste the sweetness of
the raindrops. Here where the misty beauty of a
sunrise makes a dew on her skin. Here where she sleeps
the restful sleep with the music of the forest at
night. Here where there is no gas fumes in the air or
the smoky odor of factories. Her little cabin is
powered by a generator and it provides all her needs.
There is no phone, no tv. In an emergency she has a
ham radio that she can use if necessary. All she needs
is lights and a way to prepare her meals. There is a
jeep parked in back to take back when her time is
over. But for now this peace is her's to enjoy!
