Sunset

Walking along the beach with you
Strolling hand in hand
Our footprints side by side
Behind us in the sand
We stop and gaze as the colors fade
From the sky that the sunset made
Soon high above the stars will light
Then the moon will light the night
We sit arm in arm and watch the waves
The light from the moon makes a silver glaze
The soft sound as the waves rush to shore
With the moon on your face I'm lost in your gaze
Neath the glow of the moon we share our first kiss
Your lips are warm when they touch mine
With a soft sigh I melt in your arms
You hold me close as we sit and watch
The moon as rises out of the sea
Then we rise and turn upon our steps
Arm in arm we walk in the waves coming in
The foam from the waves cover our feet
The night air cools but we pay it no mind
For we are lost in the eyes of the other
We make our way back as the night closes in
