Perform CPR until Defibrillator attached

No Shock  Indicated

Shock  is Indicated

for 1 minute

if absent

Repeat "Analyze" every 1-2 min

Assess Vital Signs
Support Airway
Support Breathing

for 1 minute

ALS Providers:

if absent

Shock  is Indicated

for Blood Pressure ,
Heart Rate ,  and
Rhythm.

for 1 minute

if absent

Shock  is Indicated

Repeat sets of Three Stacked Shocks

The single rescuer with an AED should verify unresponsiveness > A open the airway
> B give two respirations > C check for pulse.  If a full Cardiac Arrest is confirmed ,
the rescuer should attach the AED and proceed with the algorhithm.

Do not delay Defibrillation for IV access.

For Hypothermic patients limit shocks to 3.  See Hypothermic alorhithm

If VF presists after 9 shocks , repeat sets of three stacked shocks with 1 min
of CPR between each set until "No shock indicated" message is recieved.
Shock until VF is no longer present or the patient converts to a perfusing rhythm.
