LOOT LEADER
Is the person that is charged with keeping the guild loot rules in focus in a guild raid. They hold all the cards and shall not flex from the guild loot rules, doing so may result in disciplinary actions up to removal from the guild. LOOT LEADER will be assigned prior to the start of each raid, it is commonly known as the "person who holds all the stuff", however this person may differ from the Leader of the Group. If these two differ the Leader of the Group holds no sway over any loot preceedings.

GREED ROLL
Is the term that we use to describe the end of raid/party roll that takes place to ensure that all on the raid have recieved something for their investment.

ALL GUILD LOOT RULES WILL APPLY TO THE GREED ROLL AND SHALL NOT BE DEVIATED FROM

GREED ROLL will be handled as follows.
After the last boss/quest is completed in said instance, or the raid/party has decided to call the raid for whatever reason, the GREED ROLL is then held.
If you have recieved an item that restricts you from participating in the GREED ROLL do not leave, there MAY be things that you WILL be able to roll on.
All items that have been held in the cause of GREED (because there was no direct NEED for them) will be rolled on.
ALL parties that have NOT recieved an ITEM that restricts them from rolling will step close to the LOOT LEADER and /roll or /random 1 100. The rankings will be from 100 - 1. 100 being the best, 1 being the worst. Parties will choose what they want based upon their number.

EXAMPLE
ron rolls 87
tim rolls 34
suki rolls 66
mary rolls 22

there are 3 available items
they would choose their items in the following order:
#1 RON with 87
#2 suki with 66
#3 tim with 34

mary would be #4 but would not get an item due to their only being 3 items to roll on.

IF everyone in the raid recieves a GREED ROLL item or an item during the raid and there are left over GREED items then everyone would roll a SECOND time for GREED
(there are no restrictions based upon loot in the SECOND GREED roll)

Need
is defined as an upgrade for your items that you currently have equiped on your character that is participating in the raid/party.

Greed
is defined as wanting an item soley for the purpose of selling or gaining profit from the item. Greed rolling for an alt or character not present in the raid, Rolling for another member of the raid or member of the guild over a person that can use the item in the raid is considered a greedy act. Rolling for an item for another person in general under the pretense of NEED is GREEDY (roll for yourself ONLY and only for your present character). Rolling when you have no direct benefit or you do not possess a quest is a GREEDY ACT.

Some class specific items in the raid/party are subject to being held for other characters in the guild that are CURRENTLY able to use said item(s). This would not superceed immediate need of the participants of the raid/party, but may not be held for GREED ROLL due to the need outside of the raid/party. EXAMPLES of such items including but not limited to: Class BOOKS, Rare Plans for all trade skills, and other trade items that would benefit our guild.

LOOT
any person that has participated in the raid/party and invested their real life time and effort in the raid /party will be allowed (reguardless of character level) to roll on any item that is for NEED or upgrade or Greed. No character will ever be disallowed to roll based upon character level, newness to the guild or the required level of the item.

EXAMPLE A raid has a 55 mage and a 58 mage, their chest piece drops (required character level 58) both will be allowed to roll for the item since both have a NEED for the item as outlined above.

Where as you may NEVER deny them the chance of rolling on any item that will benefit them, you may however, as the LOOT LEADER, request that they pass for a person that is able to immediately equip the item. This request should NEVER be made publicly and always via tells from ONLY the loot leader. If they should decline and desire the piece in question, they MUST be allowed to roll NO EXCEPTIONS.

You may not TELL a person not to roll on an item based upon their character level, for ANY reason.
Descrimination based on character level or any other factor will NOT be tolerated in this guild. If you want to enforce a minimum character level or to set a minimum level requirement for that function it MUST be clearly outlined PRIOR to the start of the raid/party. Failure to do clearly outline the minimum level requirement will mean that ALL participants of the raid/party will be allowed to roll on ALL items in that raid that are or would be upgrades and or GREED ROLL.(staying within guild guidelines of course)

Standard loot rules are as follows

(1) ONE blue (1) ONE Set BLUE (1) ONE Epic per raid/party

If any of the above stated are found on YOUR turn to loot you must LINK the item in /raid chat (in /party chat if your in a non raid group) You are not to loot any item listed above unless instructed to do so by the LOOT LEADER.

Do no loot an item unless directed to do so by the LOOT LEADER.

loot is set to Round Robin ( or Group loot epic thresh )

ITEM TYPES

Quest items
(EPIC BOE BOP BLUE OR GREEN quest items) will be rolled on as soon as humanly possible, and WILL NOT be held till the end of the raid for GREED ROLL. ONLY IF there are no persons with the quest then you will treat the quest item like a non quest BOE BOP BLUE OR GREEN.

EXAMPLE **Frayed Abomination Stitchings (bop green) will be rolled on at the first break/downtime after their discovery. Brilliant Chromatic Scales (boe blue) will be rolled for immediately following Rends death, or the wipe of the group hehe :)** Reason for this is to keep BOE quest items inline with their BOP brothers and sisters.

Keys, seal of assecention, gems for the seal of assecention, Stratholme holy water .etc
Are not to be picked up. These items should be linked in raid/party chat and rolled on by ONLY those who would directly benefit from the item. IF noone has a need for said items they are to be left where they are found.

BOE green items
  1. Boe green items (FOUND ON A CORPSE) belongs to the looter reguardless of item type or value. (if a quest item is found and is BOE green it will be handled as explained in the QUEST ITEM section) If you feel you can benefit from the item that was looted please send a /tell linking the item that the BOE green will replace to the looter, the item does belong to the looter and is not an issue of the raid/party to resolve. Need before greed always.
  2. Boe green items (FOUND IN A CONTAINER) such as a chest, box, supply crate, quartermaster's footlocker etc. All items looted or found inside a container will be held by loot leader till the end of the raid for GREED ROLL. (lockboxes that are looted from corpses that require a rogue or key are belonged to the looter) all boxes that are looted from a corpse that require no key or rogue are greed rolled at the end of the raid.

BOP green items
BoP green items (when found) will be rolled on at the first break/downtime after their discovery. Anyone that has a direct need for that item will need to step close to the corpse and roll for the item. If noone has a need for the item the item will go to the original looter reguardless of item type or worth. It will not count as a blue or set item. If original looter cannot be determined then the item will be disenchanted and or destroyed in the absence of a enchanter.

BOE blue items
will be held till the end of the raid for GREED ROLL, UNLESS the item is needed as an upgrade in which case anyone needing the item in question will step forward and quickly roll.

BOP blue items
(when found) will be rolled on at the first break/downtime after their discovery. Anyone that has a direct need for that item will need to step close to the corpse and roll for the item. (use /roll or /random 1 100 to roll) It will be asked in /raid or /party if anyone else needs this item, A short count down (normally 3-5 seconds) will then begin. If you do not roll prior to the end of the loot leaders count down you will not be allowed to roll.

  1. IF noone has a direct need for that item then the item will be disenchanted by a predesignated enchanter, the shard will be held till the end of the raid for GREED ROLL (all dusts, essences or other byproducts with the exception of shards are belonged to the enchanter)

  2. IF noone has a direct need and there is no enchanter present in the raid/party, there will be a GREED ROLL offered immediately on the item, however, if you choose to roll on the bop blue item and win, it counts as your blue for the run and outside of a set item or needed epic you will not be allowed to roll for any remaining blues for that raid.(if a question or situation arises, the loot leader may override this rule if its in the best interest of better equiping our guild)

  3. Shards will be accepted as a even trade on a 3 to 1 basis for items declared to be disenchanted (you must preapprove this action through the loot leader and group) If a trade is done this blue item will NOT count as your ONE blue item, however, you will NOT be allowed to participate in the GREED ROLL at the end of the raid.

example... *insert item* is to be de'ed but wants the item and has the 3 shards to trade. If noone in the group opposes the trade then it will be allowed. (The enchanter on the raid will not be allowed to do such trades.)

SET ITEMS BLUE AND GREEN
Set items are class priority, reguardless of level, however it is limited to a rotating ONE set item per run unless your the only one of that class on the raid/party

example... For example there are two rogues in the raid/party, and Shadowcraft bracers(rogue set item) drop, one rogue has them one rogue doesnt, the bracers will automatically go to the one that doesnt have them, however the next rogue set item that drops that NEITHER has will go to the rogue who had the shadowcraft bracers prior to the raid/party... this can stack and will continue throughout the raid.

EPIC BOP items
(when found) will be rolled on at the first break/downtime after their discovery. Anyone that has a direct need for that item will need to step close to the corpse and roll for the item. If noone can directly benefit from the epic bop item then it will be immediately greed rolled by the entire raid/party. (whether rolled on for need or greed) IF you win the EPIC BOP will not count as your blue or set item ,however, you will not be allowed to roll at end in the GREED ROLL.

IF you roll for NEED you will be expected to publicly equip the item, if you fail to do so you will be removed from the raid/party and subsequently the guild.

EPIC BOE
items that are equipable (when found) will be rolled on at the first break/downtime after their discovery. Anyone that has a direct need for that item will need to step close to the corpse and roll for the item. If noone can directly benefit from the epic boe item then it will be held till the end of the raid for the GREED ROLL.

IF you win the EPIC BOE it will not count as your blue or set item ,however, you will not be allowed to roll at end in the GREED ROLL.

IF you roll for NEED you will be expected to publicly equip the item, if you fail to do so you will be removed from the raid/party and subsequently the guild.
