ROMANCE OF THE 3 KINGDOMS: Shu characters

These are Characters from the Historical Book Romance of the 3 Kingdoms.


Liu Bei [Tzi: Yuan-Te]

Eldest of the 3 sworn brothers. He fought all rebels, and swore to uphold the Han dynasty and fought all around China and suffered many times, finally becoming the first Emperor of Shu-Han kingdom.

Weilder of the double sword, The Sword of Fate, and rider of the staillion of the feriece Winds.

His sword was fashioned by his own hand, while his horse was to be unlucky to it's rider however Liu Bei still rode it.


Guan Yu "Beautiful Beard"[Tzi: Yun-Cheung]

The Second of the 3 brothers. He was a mighty warrior who slay both Yen Leung and Mun Chou as well as several officers of different passes at his short service with Ts'ao Ts'ao. He became the leader of the 5 Tiger generals.

Weilder of the Black Dragon and Rider of the Redhare.

His sword was fashioned by his own hand, while his horse was a gift to Guan Yu by Ts'ao Ts'ao.


Chang Fei [Tzi: Yik-Te]

The youngest of the 3 brothers. He was a brave and valient warrior but his lack for wine often led him to flog his troops. He was one of the 5 tiger generals.

Weilder of the 18 foot cobra spear.

His spear was fashioned by his own hand, and was 18 feet long


Chuko Leung "Sleeping Dragon" [Tzi: Hung-Ming]

One of the greatest stratagest of all time. Chuko planed and won many intense battles. He became Prime Minister and gaurdian to Liu Chan after Liu Bei died. He led many expeditions to Wei but failed. He gave his utmost for his country and died in service of sickness.


Chao Yun [Tzi: Tzi-Lung]

A dashing and skilled warrior under Shu. He saved Liu Chan once through the countless legions of Wei while single handedly fought and killed many men. He was been said to thrive on danger. One of the 5 tiger generals.

Weilder of the Luminous Sword.

Origionally owned by Ts'ao Ts'ao, this sword cut through armour as if it was mud. Chao aquired this sword while searching for Liu Chan in the lines of Wei. Paired with the Sword of Trust.


Pang Tung "Pheonix Fledgling"

A close friend of Chuko Leungs, Pang Tung pursuaded Ts'ao to chain his boats together in the fight of red wall. He served under Liu Bei faithfully but died in battle to take Shu from Liu Chang.


Sun Qian

Served Liu Bei under the recommendation of Tao Qian and Mi Tzu, he was a skilled diplomat and friend of Liu Bei.


Huang Chung

A veteran leader of Shu. He slayed Hiahou Yuan at Han Chung and proved that old age doesnt stop his skill. One of the 5 tiger generals.


Jiang Wei [Tzi: Bak-Yeuk]

He took over the northern expedetions after Chuko Leung died. He was skilled in both stratagy and combat. He gave his all for his country, however Liu Chan was not devoted to his country and so lacked support from his won lord. Eventually died while trying to save Shu.


Ma Chao

Son of Ma teng. Ma Chao was a great warrior who fought Ts'ao Ts'ao to avenge his fathers death how ever he lost in battle and then served Chang Lu and then to Liu Bei whom he was quite fond of. He became one of the 5 tiger generals.


Liu Chan

Son of Liu Bei and second Emperor of Shu. He lacked disiple and was under the constant influence of the Eunich Haung Hao. The kingdom fell apart and Liu Chan surrendered to Wei.
