Comment: This is the oldest of old in respect to characters that Smite and I have created and used. He has been recreated many times. He is usually the main character of whatever the project is that includes him. I've problably rendered this character more times than any others. Below is a little something that I wrote about 0105. It gives a little insight on Allek

Allek, whoa! Allek is like the basis of the whole Eblon/Neoblon world. Allek was one of the first characters that Brandon and I developed together. There were two original heroes that we worked with, both came from a story that Brandon had worked on before. The two characters were very different yet similar. I think what set Allek apart from Brann, and why we stuck with developing him so much more was that he wasnt the obvious "Good Guy". Brann was your basic hero. Buff, tough and always knew what to do. Alleks character is more in turmoil I think. Hes one of those who is always trying to do the right thing but unlike Brann he is not always sure what the right thing is.

I think that I was the one who gave Allek a much more religious look and feel. Hes sort of a futuristic crusader. Hes got what I thought was a sort of mid evil looking hair style, with a goatee. I think that the red hair and the facial hair as well as the scare that looks like it could be a cross, really identified the whole of what Allek was about. As well as when the helm is on. It sort of gives life to how I thought that his fighting style should be. Which is very unemotional and all made up of precise calculated movements. Hes whole character is similar to Brandons temperaments.

As for what the character can do on a skill level, we havent much talked about it. I gave Allek the suit to sort of update him to the whole Neoblon future feel. He still carries a sword and shield, but these things no doubt are update to give them a bit of a punch. I really want to see Allek use his shield a lot in battle, but not in the standard barbaric way. I think this will make for a very rather unique character.

I said before Eblon/Neoblon has always followed Allek. He was the animated character that we had moving in the Eblon game that we created. In the game he was restricted to his original form. We hadnt yet given birth to the Idea of Neoblon so it was your basic mid evil adventure game. In the game in the fighting engine we were going to design it so that you could use your shield to attack with so I think that this helps capture that idea, which was very original especially for the time. To date I think that Diablo II (Blizzard) is the only game to implement the use of a shield as an offensive asset.

His suit I think will let us get away with some of the "utility belt" Batman (DC comics) scheme. Suddenly Allek finds that he needs to scale an industrial wall in the smog infested technical world of Neoblon. He needs to think quick, as the mechanized guards are hot on his trail. Boom! out of no where hes got a grappling hook firing from his fore arm. Say Allek needs a little extra speed, or to jump a little higher we can use his suit to give him that power.

I have this picture in my mind of Allek battling a large mechanical golem and I see him utilizing every aspect of his ability to defeat the monster. Hed be kneeling, in the cold, you could see the gases vapors eject form the mask. Hed be conducting some sort of prayer, and you would see this blue glow begin to engulf him, sort of contrasting the dingy look of the surrounding alley way and working in conjunction with the soft neon flicker of parts of Alleks power suit. He could throw energy balls and erupt in battle, his sword and shield activated to give an improved structural endurance and a sharper edge.

What I think that what makes this character so real and original is the work that Brandon and I can both do with him on such different levels yet always on the same page. Ive always got the visual feel but thats never enough, its like judging a book by its cover. Brandon puts the words in that book.
