This was done while on jury duty. I had to do something on the frequent Downtime to keep from boredom, so I started drawing people.

       At the beginning of the Seal Beach Pier is a small bronze sculpture of a seal. One day I was sketching it and looked over on the beach to see girls laying on the sand.  I saw a metaphor, and below is the first drawing to merge them to make an Artistic statement:                   The whales need to be saved, but when's the last time you saw a Mermaid?
