| Name: Lands of Ice Name's Value: Obviously says just what it means. Land Type: Continent Location: On the map, it is under Ixa'Taka and above Valua, split in two like Antarctica is on a map of Earth. Accesible Places: Ruins of Ice Moon: Purple Gigas: Plergoth Transportation: Mostly walking around but they probably used some sort of airships. They also used ice slides to get around really quickly. Desription: A very large continent made up of ice and snow, very much like Antarctica. There is a snowy mountain range in the middle of it. It also has many small icebergs floating around it. Architecture: All made of ice and draping from the ceiling like icycles. Many paths and walkways too. Culture: There is very little known about the Glacians. The only known city in the Lands of Ice is Glacia... or was Glacia. It is now the abandoned Ruins of Ice. The people that did live here adapted to the cold and built a city under the ice, protected from harm. They made the inside hollow and then the Glacians' most powerful mages used their ice spells to create beautiful ice sculptures which turned into houses, bridges, and walkways, all with intricate designs on them. Their architecture is truly quite a wonder. The Lands of Ice are home to the Arcwhales, so people probably hunted them for food. No one knows what kind of entertainment they had or anything else. Only that after the Rains of Destruction happened, they disappeared. The confusing thing about that, though, is that none of Glacia was harmed at all. So did every single last person leave the city for the outside? Surely if there was only one last person left, his skeleton would have been found (when Vyse and the crew enter). In the Legends version of Skies of Arcadia, there is an added discovery called the Ice Lens. This is found on the mountain range and is giant and totally made of ice but looks like a mirror. People have theory that when the sun's rays hit it, the beam of light would bounce off and hit whatever it was pointing at - like a magnifying glass - and Glacians might have used it to burn any incoming enemies out of the sky. But if that is so, why was the last place it was turned pointed at Glacia? There are many mysteries about the Glacians and their life, and I have told you some facts that I have gained about them, some people's theories, and some of my own. That is all I have to offer. |
