EPISODE #1   "PILOT"

Liz is accidentally shot at the Crashdown during an argument and Max rushes forward to save her. This results in Liz finding out that Max, Isabel and Michael are aliens. This does not go down well, especially with Michael. Liz confides in her best friend Maria, who initially takes the news badly. The local town sherrif is also very suspicious about the events surrounding the shooting and the involvement of Max and Co.

EPISODE #2   "MORNING AFTER"

A new substitute teacher arrives in town (Miss Topolsky) and starts to investigate Michael's background and Sherrif Valenti is harassed by the FBI. Michael learns about some confidential files that may have links to their past and contemplates breaking into Valenti's office.

EPISODE #3   "MONSTERS"

Maria is having a difficult time dealing with the whole 'aliens are among us' and is increasingly troubled when Sherrif Valenti starts asking questions.
Isabel, concerned that Maria may confess all, decides to invade her dreams.
Meanwhile, Max meets a curator that is obsessed with aliens and Topolsky holds career counselling sessions.

EPISODE #4   "LEAVING NORMAL

Max reaches out to comfort Liz after her grandmother is taken seriously ill and admitted to hospital. Meanwhile Michael plots revenge on Kyle's friends after they attacked max without his knowledge. On a lighter note, Maria asks Isabel to help waiting tables at the Crashdown.

EPISODE #5   "MISSING"

Liz's missing journal causes a huge panic as it contains everything about her close encounters of the alienkind. Kyle is on top of the suspects list, but in the end it turns out to be a friend who was making sure Liz was on the level.

EPISODE #6   "285 SOUTH"

Visions of a geodesic dome drives Michael to steal Maria's car and head for Texas. A bizarre homework assignment, fuelled by the recent federal interest into aliens, results in a unique bonding experience between Max, Liz and Isabel.

EPISODE #7   "RIVER DOG"

Michael and Maria kiss, while Liz and Kyle have another fight. Isabel discovers a mysterious necklace that she found at the geodesic dome. In order to find out what the mysterious symbols mean Max and Isabel head to an Indian Reservation to speak to an elderly man, River Dog, who has some information about an alien that disappeared in 1959.

EPISODE #8   "BLOOD BROTHERS"

Liz is forced to choose between her love for Max and her friendship with Alex.
Further complications arise when Max and Liz are involved in a car accident and Max is taken to the hospital unconscious. When Michael and Isabel arrive they realise that a sample of Max's blood has been taken and that it had to be switched with another sample. Alex is deemed as the most suitable candidate, but he's abruptly sent home after he agrees. Once Max is discarged, Michael spies Topolsky's men rummaging through Max's hospital room.
