EPISODE #17   "CRAZY"

Agent Topolsky returns to warn the group that they're in danger, but Max and Liz are still wary of her intentions. Topolsky is forced to turn to Sherrif Valenti for help in convincing them. Topolsky manages to convince Michael that she will turn over important information if he trusts her, so he agrees to meet her. Unfortunately, Topolsky is kidnapped before they can meet. Meanwhile, Isabel makes friends with the new girl in town, Tess, but Max and Michael are apprehensive.

EPISODE #18   "TESS, LIES AND VIDEOTAPE"

Max begins to have vivid dreams about Tess that cause suspicions to run high. He begins to feel an uncontrollable attractioin to Tess, and without knowing, kisses her in front of Liz. Meanwhile, Sherrif Valenti learns of a fire at the hospital where Topolsky was being treated. He realises that the kids may be in danger and returns the missing orb to gain their trust. Michael disovers a camera in his house and convinces Liz to plant it in Tess' house. The gang are shocked when the camera reveals another alien is among them.

EPISODE #19   "FOUR-SQUARE"

The whole gang are convinced that Tess is the shapeshifter Nasedo, and that their lives are in great danger. Max, Michael and Isabel decide that they should stick together and not be alone. However, Isabel and Michael are embarassed at the dreams they are having about one another, and go to great lengths to avoid any romantic feelings that are growing between them. Max finally confronts Tess and she reveals her identity and the birthplace of all the aliens

EPISODE #20   "MAX TO THE MAX"

Max and the others realise that their destiny may already been written. They realise that the four of them may have been artificially constructed, not born. Max goes to Tess for answers and she reveals that Max and her, and Michael and Isabel are destined to be together. Nasedo shapeshifts into Max and kidnaps Liz in an attempt to draw out Agent Pierce. Maria and Alex confide in Sherrif Valenti to help rescue Liz. After following Nasedo to a carnival, Max is captured by the FBI and Agent Pierce is finally revealed.

EPISODE #21   "THE WHITE ROOM"

Max is held prisoner in a white room and tortured by Agent Pierce, trying to make him confess his true identity. Isabel uses her dreamwalking abilities to locate Max, and sets out to rescue him with Michael and Tess. Left behind and fearing for Max's safety, Liz and the others ask Sherrif Valenti for help, and finally tell the truth.

EPISODE #22   "DESTINY"

Sherrif Valenti realises that Max is not the only alien in Roswell after he witnesses Michael use his power to save Max from Agent Pierce. After Agent Pierce is killed, the others bring Nasedo back to life and he vows to take Pierce's place in order to protect them. Max and Co finally decide to use the orb and manage to contact Max and Isabel's biological mother. This communication reveals more about themselves than they expected, or wanted to know. Max realises that his destiny may not include Liz.
