2003 Dodge SRT-4 In Los Angeles, Dodge made official what we reported 18 months ago (AW, 6/12/00), the Neon SRT concept is going into production. We first saw the concept at the SEMA show in 1999 and drove it the following year, with grinningly happy results. Remarkably, the production version strayed very little from the concept. The SRT-4 will have a 16-valve dohc turbocharged 2.4-liter transverse-mounted four driving the front wheels with 205 hp and 220 lb ft of torque. Weighing in at an estimated 2970 pounds, the SRT-4 goes from zero to 60 in 5.9 seconds, putting it behind only to the Viper in Dodge's lineup and second to none in the class. Window sticker is $19,995. -autoweek
