If you hear the "melody" more than one time it�s an illusion. Maybe musical illusions are possible because of the selective attention that uses an auditory memory. When you use a memory of a single sound like the vocal of your inner voice when you hear voices maybe you strengthen the ability to do this and maybe that�s why some of us hear music. (Sometimes when I use a short term memory I can hear classical music in a background sound consisting of 61 notes coming from a violin. It�s like I have a tape recorder in my head......) |
