I first heard Dr. Feelgood in the mid 70's, when they released a series of singles which got played on national UK radio stations. I bought their most popular single, Milk and Alcohol, on its release in 1978. This was at the height of Punk Rock and the Feelgood sound was a part of this time in UK music history.

My next encounter with the band was in 1987, when a good friend of mine suggested we should see the band on their UK tour. (This friend was John Moffat who played drums in the local band, Fiona And The Inspirations. I played bass guitar in this band). From this time on I have seen the Feelgoods on nearly all of their annual UK tours. My friend, John Moffat, myself and a group of about six friends organise transport and tickets and look forward to the annual Feelgood Gig.

We have also been very lucky in making good friends with the Feelgoods bass guitarist, the legendary Phil Mitchell. John and Myself approached Phil at the bar at one of these early gigs prior to the start of the show and struck up a friendship which has lasted to this day.  I have dedicated a page on my web site especially for Phil.
