| Rules |
Activity: The main rule of the NEML is to stay active. Everyone wants to have fun, and the best way to do that is staying active. Make regular posts on the message board and send in your lines as often as possible. If you are not active, you will be fired. Simming: Simming will be 3 times a week(Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday)7 EHM days a sim.Lines are to be submitted to [email protected] at least 12 hours before the sim. Lines: Please make sure you send in your lines in all the time, as we are simming more than once a week. Make sure to get your lines in consistently. Hit and Grind can only be used on one of the four lines, as it is a super tactic. Send them to the Commish ZIPPED via e-mail.I really incourage you send in your lines for each sim...or just an e-mail saying same lines! Trading: Trades will be posted on the proposed trades board and confirmed by both GM's on the message board. Then GM's of the league will either ask for a review or just leave it.If 3 or more GM's ask for one then it is then moved to the 'Appeals Board' for the TC to vote on. If it is approved then it is moved to the completed trades board. If it is denied it will be sent back to the GMs to be reworked. The trade deadline will occur the day before the sim that has the trade deadline in EHM. A trade should look like this: To Detroit: Mike Modano{pot/con} Steve Gainey{pot/con} Dallas's 3rd Round Pick in 2003 To Dallas: Pavel Datsyuk{pot/con} Kirk Maltby{pot/con} Danny Groulx{pot/con} Free Agents: Signing Free Agents will also take place on the message boards. When you sign a player, start a new thread on the Free Agent board. Include all the details: Base Salary, Signing Bonus, Years, and any option or clause you want to put in the contract. No matter what sport it is, there are always the players that hold out on contracts and refuse to sign with your team. This is the same in the NEML. If one of your players does decide that he doesnt want to come back next year, there is only one way to change that. Offer him a big contract. That will also hold true to free agent bidding. If you are a weaker team, chances are even if you put up the highest bid, that star player will choose the stronger team if the difference in salary differs by only a million or so.The higest you can offer a player in UFA is 10 million, unless the default offer is over 10 mill. RFA's: When signing RFA's you must send them into the front office([email protected]) including the same details as the UFA's 0 - 500k - No compensation 500k - 900k - 3rd Rnd pick 900k - 1.1M - 2nd Rnd pick 1.1M - 1.3M - 1st Rnd pick 1.3M - 1.7M - 1st and 3rd Rnd picks 1.7M - 2.0M - 1st and 2nd Rnd picks 2.0M - 2.3M - Two 1st Rnd picks 2.3M - 2.8M - Two 1st Rnd picks and a 2nd Rnd pick 2.8M - 3.0M - Three 1st Rnd picks 3.0M - 3.5M - Four 1st Rnd picks 3.5 M+ - Five 1st Rnd picks Waivers: There will be no waiver draft unless there is a great intrest in one shown by the GM's. Also, there will be a waiver system when a player is being demoted to the AHL. Training: Training will be set as EHM has it, unless you send an email to the Commish informing him that you want a certain player on a different training setting. Scouting: Please send an e-mail to the Commish with the scout's name and where you would like him to scout. Salary Cap: As of now, there is no salary cap, unless there is interest by the GM's but if you are in debt(ex.-1,660,364)at the end of the season you have until the next season to solve your problem and get on the + side.If this is not done so, managment will take your highest paid player and release him. Draft: As of now, we plan to use real juniors in the draft. The draft will be held in the NEML chat room. If you can't make it send in your choices. If you just decide not to show up, then we will pick the player at the top of the list for you. Team Sites: We encourage that you make a web site for your team, but it is not mandatory. It would make us become good!!!! HAVE FUN!! |
