NEMACOL is a dedicated
multipurpose agricultural co-operative of Nepal, which was established in 1990
by a group of agricultural graduates at first in the banner of Farmer's
Service Center at Kalimati, Kathmandu supplying improved seeds, fertilisers,
pesticides and agrochemical, tools, implements and providing sound technical
advice.
This is the co-operative
of 105 experienced, talented and skilful agriculture and natural resources
experts. Hence it covers a wide range
of subjects such as vegetable seed production, bee keeping, sericulture,
forestry, watershed management, soil conservation, social science, economics,
and natural resources planning and management. NEMACOL perfectly understands
that agricultural development is possible only through market led and private
sector driven approach. NEMACOL is moving in right direction and in right tract
for this purpose. The increasing number of farmer clients satisfied with its
excellent services is the evidence. Its efforts in future will be more
successful.
NEMACOL was registered
with the Department of Co-operative under the Ministry of Agriculture in 1992.
It is fully committed to agricultural development of Nepal. It is a
co-operative with a open door policy and committed to the service for under
privilledged Nepalese farmers.
