So my civil war epic turned out to be a flop.  It's not like the original did any better.  Besides, I got this great new script in the works....Callin' it "Cyrano De Chevrolet."

NASCAR gave Chevy the go ahead for a nose job last week.  And Dale Sr. needed ever inch of that cowcatcher to give Chevy its first win.   I think the winning margin came out to one of those new-fangled nanoseconds.  Cleanest, closest, best-est last lap in a long time.  Not too often you can say that when Earnhardt's involved.   Woulda been cool to see Bobby resurrect Dale's "pass in the grass."

Beauty of a race. Lots of passin'.  Lots of adjustin'.  Lots of bumpin'.  17 different leaders but it sure didn't pay to run up front in this pig though.  They'd already got half of Skinner's name engraved on the trophy when he broke.  Burton cut a tire and ate the wall while leading.  Kenseth got his first leader points and then broke.  Musgrave led and then tried to burn up Geoff Bodine's car in the pits.  LePage broke le axle.  Then there's Dale Jr....The Imitator; led a few at the beginning and then let the outside wall do the steering the rest of the way.

Nuff about them.  Let's see what's for supper......oof.  Crow again.

Tony - Rusty was running between 5th and 10th all day.  Then, some rookie can't get her whoa-ed down and takes the 2 car with him.  I think NASCAR oughta ban rookies.......(Oh, wait a second)
I said 8th...Finished 32nd

Ted - Yikes! Ted finally chimes in as a Jeff Gordon fan....(Sigh)  Take a number, Dude.  Gordon blistered a tire and dropped a lap.  (And thanks for the Mardi Gras beads.  Told everybody I lifted my shirt for 'em)
I said 2nd...Finished 9th

Paul - Martin led early in the race but never really had a chance at the end.  Then again, who'd complain about yet another top 10 finish.  Had a close call when Pruett's Tide Ride went into the spin cycle.
I said 10th...Finished 3rd

Mollie - Look for AJ to find another driver soon.  Bliss just can't seem to pick-up where he left off in the Crashman Truck Series...."pick-up" where he left off........I'll be at the Copa through Thursday.

Lori - Rusty never led but got the curse anyway.  Loses a lap for tires.  Then he has some sort of BBQ goin' on in the car and it fills with smoke.  Then he eats wall in a late race wreck.....So many people to blame - So little time.
I said 8th...Finished 32nd

Kim - Aw, keep your Martin stats to yourself.  So, Mark has led every race.  So, Rusty may be the big dipper in points.  You don't seriously think Martin will finish the season ahead of Rusty...Dream on!
I said 10th...Finished, well, a little higher than 10th.

Jeff & Stacy - Your predictions were alot closer than mine.  Thanks for sendin' em to me only.  No sense in confusin' everybody.  Gordo felt the curse.  Led early and then wore them new Goodyears to the cords.
I said 2nd....Finished 9th.

Dave - With the Volunteers fallin' out of the SEC tourney on Friday, Sterling was Tennessee's best bet on Sunday....I don't blame ya for not watchin'.  Actually, Coo Coo Jr. plodded his way to his best finish so far.
I said 38th with a wreck...Finished 12th.

Doc - The Stew-man gets the Swervin' Irvan award for takin' the most cars out this race.  And after that pit road blaze, the #60 Pyre Team needs to order a few more fire extinguishers.  Preferably, before your boy, Geoff-fiery Bodine gets back.
I gave Tony a 9th....Towed her home with a 34th.

I missed Michael Waltrip by 24 spots and Woe-ud Buht'n by 3....It's gettin' to where I don't look forward to Sunday dinners anymore.

"Asunta, I'm gettin' kinda tired of -....Did you say crow etouffe'?....Smells pretty good.  And is that a panful of 'my words'?....Yummy!"

A little Tabasco will make anything taste good.
