He teaches line dancing on a volunteer basis at various schools, churches and other organizations. As well, he also organizes mah-jong tournaments, tennis competitions, local tours, hiking trips and nature walks for the local community.

4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco, who nominated Mr. Wong for the Civic Hero Award. “The active contribution that Mr. Wong makes with youth, adults and seniors has not only strengthened the community at large, but his involvement with the Annual Chinese Arts and Literacy Contests for youth has helped raise awareness of the Chinese culture and encouraged youth participation in the art and literary forum.”
