From Pittsburgh: Take 279 towards the Airport. Do not take the exit for the Airport (Route 60). Keep on Route 22 heading toward Bavington/Burgettstown. Take the Bavington exit. At the stop sign take a right. This is Old Stubenville Pike. Make a left onto Old Stubenville Pike. Continue on this road for about 5 miles. You will go past a building with big red lettering. After that you need to start looking for a state gamelands sign off to the right.

The first state gamelands sign you will see is right past a house on the right. It's a sharp right turn onto a dirt road with trees on both sides. The pull off is a mile back you will see the trail head is actually a fire road off to the right. It starts out as a little bit of gravel. This leads you back to the figure 8 and the shortshort loop.

The second entrance is a couple hundred yards past the first right before the next house. This road is pretty bad. Make a right to go up to the parking lot. The trail head is either off to the left of the parking lot or across the field.
