Never have I held so much respect for someone I have never once had the blessed opportunity to meet or I should say met...
A woman of distinction and conviction, whose name blazed across the heavens, a diamond in the rough, now shined, polished set...

Mother Mary Amos Nelson, With her bags, possesions and children in tow...
Departed the hills of Columbus Mississippi, their future she did not know...

The mind of God we shall never know, and perhaps never understand...
But obviously Mary Amos long ago was figured into the master's plan....

She worked, prayed, sang, and helped organize the structure of the church...
Greater New Jerusalem, as they called it, and for a Leader and Pastor she helped search...

She led the first building fund drive, If you gave one dollar she would always give two...
If anyone asked a favor of her, she'd do it quick fast and true...

A Deaconess, mother of the church and in her home, sound in both heart and mind...
We've said it before, we'll say it again, Mary Amos was definatly one of a kind...

Sensitive, faithful, truthful, loving and kind...
Her soul was saved by God's eternal grace, a better mother you will never find...

The world, I think is a better place for the seven plus decades Mary Amos was yet alive...
She lived a rich, full and happily blessed life from 1888 to 1965.
