We work on a craft that starts with the Letter of the week.
Show and Tell - only on Fridays- Each child gets a chance to share a new toy, new adventure or whatever they would like.
Letter of the week - We look at what the letter looks like and the sound it makes. We also look at words that start with this letter.
Calander - We have a big Calander. Each day we talk about what the date is along with what day of the week. We also figure out how many days until our day off or how many days to a party. This gives the kids a chance to use math.
We work on shape and counting worksheets along with learning to write our names, the ABC's and numbers.
We take the opportunity everyday to read a story. I read a book that has alot of words from our letter of the week.
Sometimes we work on themes when we do this we read a book on our theme.
We do different fun and exciting experiments. Like red and blue mixed together makes purple.
Which sinks in water a bouncy ball or a penny and why?
We do tons of hands on activities.
Counting objects, finding shapes and colors in the room, computer games, and singing are a few.
