 As Nelly travels around the continent of North America with the Burn In The Spotlight tour, she has set up a place where she leaves messages after her concerts for her fans to read. Below are the following entries that she has left! FEBRUARY 11th, 2002 "Hello, we just played our show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, just got off the stage a minute ago. Just signed a bunch of autographs on the stage, thanks to all the rowdy fans in the front... all my jewelry is gone - no just kidding :) Thanks guys! The band says hi too!" FEBRUARY 9th, 2002 "Diary entry 4. February....... 9th, 2002. We're in San Diego, 'say hi guys!' (noize in background) and uh, we just had our show and it was hot... Clarence - Citizen Cope - opened for us, great opening act, his album came out a week ago, it's one of my personal favorites and it's my soundmans' favorite album, he's been listening to it for the past year. Clarence also toured with us last March, um... San Diego's the second time we've come back - the last time I was here I opened for David Grey, which i made the single error of calling San Diego "Sacramento" or something like that. But uh, now we came back to uh, reclaim the fans and make sure everybody enjoys the show, so thanks San Diego! We're heading to L.A. tonight, and we're going to have a big FAT show at the Wiltern on the 11th and the 12th, so whoever comes to the Wiltern STAND UP! We want everybody on their feet! But no worries, we'll get you up, even if you're not listening to this message. So thanks guys, thanks for coming out to the Burning Spotlight tour, and the bus, the bus, the engine is rolling right now, so we gotta get on the bus so we're out.... oooooooh BYE!" FEBRUARY 8th, 2002 "Oh Vegas Vegas... We love you Vegas. Except that everytime we come to Vegas, somebody gets hurt. Today our tour manager Lent, gotta... something in his root canal exploded, so we had to take him to the hospital. Then, Nelly, myself, I was drinking some hot tea in our room, at the Hard Rock Hotel, and I uh, spilt it all over my leg, thus giving myself a first degree burn, of redenss, and having to perform with gauze strapped around my thigh, that ended up creeping down in between my pantleg, and looking like underwear on my shoe, but it's all good! Right guys? We had had a good show!" FEBRUARY 7th, 2002 "Hey Phoenix! (NOIZE in the background).. Hey NellyFurtado.com, ShitontheRadio.com, what's up! We're in Phoenix Arizona we just played our first show, our own, first, our first ever solo club show here in Phoenix, and it was the BOMB we loved it, we had so much fun wanna thank everyone for comin out to the show (PHOENIX ROCKS!! in background), and so um, just wanted to say that we talked to some really special people in the crowd tonight and i'm glad everybody had a good time... and we're definately comin back to Phoenix, the weathers lovely, plam tress are happenin' and um, we'll be back for SURE, thanks for makin the celebrations exciting, and we're on the road again... travellin to Vegas... Vegas here we come! Thank you Pheonix! Unforgettable. MAD LOVE! You made me cry! I almost started crying! You made me cry! You're beautiful.... bye! " FEBRUARY 5th, 2002 "Hi this is Nelly, we just finished our show in Denver Colorado, 'GUYS SCREAM - WOOOOOOOO!!! DENVER! DENVER! DENVER!' You guys are wicked we had an awesome show, we partied it was good, now we're just chilling out, listening to some music and hanging out, yeeeeaaaah! and um, basically, the crowd was awesome tonight, they were feelin' every word and every verse, and I appreciate it. Thanks everyone in Denver. The show is on the road - Burn in the Spotlight 2002... check it out! We'll be hittin' up, we're in Albuquerque New Mexico tomorrow, and then onwards and upwards towards the sky, on a candy colored spaceship... stuffed into a ghetto blaster. peace. word up. I'm out.
