Each year in the late summer there are two Nellis/Nelles Family Reunions held.

     The American Nellis Family Reunion is scheduled for Sunday, July 15th, 2001, at the historical Stone Arabia Trinity Lutheran Church on Rt. 10 a few miles north of Canajoharie in Montgomery County New York.  The reunion activity starts mid-morning with a gathering of the descendants to share information, news, findings, plans, comments, etc, or to just be with and talk with other descendants of this family.  At 12:00 noon there is a luncheon, this year a potluck (bring a dish for yourselves and one to share).  Then the business meeting to elect officers and discuss Association business, especially the efforts to get Nellis Family History, Volume 2 into publishing.  Everyone is welcome.

     On Saturday, July 14th, 2001, the Palatine Settlement Society is having an annual picnic for Society Members and for the members of the Nellis Family.  It is at the historical 1747 Nellis Tavern starting at 6:00 pm.  For members of the Nellis Family, there will be special tours of the Nellis Tavern from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 

     The Canadian Nellis-Nelles Family Reunion is scheduled to be held at noon on the first Saturday which follows the first Monday in August.  It too will be a potluck dinner, at St. Andrew's Grimsby, Ontario.  Please contact Ms Marion Hatch, 14 Kingsmount St., Brantford, Ontario N3J 5L7 for details.  Everyone is also welcome to attend this reunion.
