Much to the amazement of friends, family and co-workers I turned down nice paying jobs to volunteer in Alaska. I am volunteering with the local Public Defender's office.
I am stationed in the Bush ~ with a central location in Dillingham, Alaska. In an effort to keep up with friends and family, I have been keeping a journal. It is nothing too fascinating ~ just a way to vent frustrations and wonderment. I have no outside contact and there is limited phone and Internet usage, so I have lots of reflective moments.
