So I had this super crazy dream last night. And it didn’t even involve snakes. I dreamt that my cousin Suzy called and wanted to know what had happened to her Skipper doll. You remember Skipper, Barbie’s younger sister, flat-footed and flat-chested. I’m fairly certain that all my barbies came from Suzy, who inherited them from her older sister, my cousin Ginger. These barbies were old. They weren’t the originals, but my guess is that they were from the very late 60s and early 70s. They had Maxi dresses, bell bottoms, frilly dress fronts, and sheer sleeves. Anyway, in my dream, Suzy was really concerned that Skipper had had a good life. That she had not suffered some horrible fate like being mangled by a pet, having a haircut, or having marker makeup applied to her face. Sadly, I could neither confirm nor deny Skipper of these fates. I think that she, several of her barbie ssiters, their vinyl travel case/house floor plan, and their entire wardrobe probably went the way of mybrother’s Stretch Armstrong and Evil Knieval.
