How to register a trade name/mark at the IPO Philippines You can apply for trademark registration online through http://www.ipophil.gov.ph. However, before applying, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines advises applicants to check their proposed trademark by logging in at their website. To conduct a search on existing pending applications and registered trademarks that might be similar to your mark, you can click on TM Search located under e-Services found on both columns of their homepage. Once you are at the Trademark Online Search System, just type the word/trademark under Search Keyword then click search and you may get the result instantly. You can have it filed through TM Online, if you are a depositor of Equitable PCI Bank (BDO-EPCI). Enroll to its payment gateway facility in order for you to know on how to pay the fees. Please click the TM Online located under e-Services found on both columns of the IPO homepage so that you can view the basic requirements. If not, you can have it filed through a representative or agent and must submit a power of attorney or authorization designating him/her to prosecute the application in your favor. For manual filing, attached herewith are the requirements and additional information: Trademark application requirements with the filing fees, Trademark application form, Declaration of Actual Use form and the Procedure for registering a trademark. If you need further assistance, please contact IPO Phil at telephone numbers 752-5450 local 207 or visit the website: www.ipophil.gov.ph |
