The word witch still scares many people; thats what generations and infact centuries, of negetive propaganda does. This bad press has brought on fear and negative association with the term witch.
Witch as well as the term wicca comes from the Anglo-Saxton word wicce which means "wise" or "to bend or shape," particuarly bending or shaping of unseen forces. One example of this bending of unseen forces is the use of lemon to cut nausia. The nausia is the unseen force and the lemony scent is used to clear the mind and ballance the body. Therefore the one who perscribes the lemon is wise in that she/he is able to bend or shape the unseen force to his/her will.
What does wicca mean?
