The Nekusa Clan was established on the 14 December, 2002.  The Nekusa Clan is not part of, but is in the same home of what used to be The Dragoon Clan.  We decided to start a new clan and start breeding, again, after a year of retirement.  I retired from breeding after my last two gerbils of The Dragoon Clan, Wolf and Voodoo, passed over Rainbow Bridge at the age of 4.5 and 4.7 years.  The Dragoon Clan was established in June of 1997 and taught me a lot about gerbils.  The main reason we decided to get back into gerbils, is simply because I missed having the little fur-babies around!
It is now a new time for breeding and a new clan name.  The Nekusa Clan is made up of only four members right now, those four members make up our breeding families.  We plan to expand our breeding families within the following months.
The current breeding families are The Black Hawk Family and The Cherokee Family.  If you would like to learn more about each individual family you can click on their links to go to their own personal page.
The people behind the gerbils are myself, Jessica Dolce, and my fianc, Theodore Gus Taber.  I have owned gerbils since December of 1991 and have been breeding since June of 1997.  This is Gus first experience with owning and breeding gerbils (growing up in Pennsylvania, he bred and raised rabbits, pigs, and many other farm animals).  I am currently teaching him the basics about gerbils and the breeding process.  We are both very excited to be back in the gerbil world and hope our clan expands more in the following months.
Also, we must introduce you to our non-gerbil family members (who also have their own page), Kiddo and Inga!
We hope you enjoy your stay here with The Nekusa Clan, and hope you learn more about the wonderful little world of gerbils!
