In Tha Umbra is the definitive project of Bruno Diaboliih (guitars and vocals), who has been in the scene for ages, having previously cast into form Dark Tales, Sepulchral, Disembowel and Bowelrot. Whereas these bands were Death/Grind projects, with the creation of In Tha Umbra in 1996 he took a further slight twist and added a very dark atmosphere to the brutality of his music, creating an aesthetically accomplished Black Death Metal band. Together with Bob Sneijiers (guitar), Scott (bass) and Jo�o Marques (drums), a first release came in the �Of The Singing Dusk�� demo that granted them a deal with Art Music, which released in 1997 their debut album �Descend Supreme Sunset�. A lot of gigs and several releases followed, namely �The G�atbl�d 666� 7�EP, the �Midnight In The Garden Of Hell� CD, and the �Pentagramma� 7�EP. There were also a few line-up changes, and currently, besides Bruno and Jo�o Marques, there is only a second guitarist called Bruno Bernardo. They have been playing live with a session bass player. |
