In 1997 a band called Edenial Lust was formed in Abrantes by Luis (vocals), Lecas (guitar), Quim (bass), T�nia (keyboards), Hugo (drums). They played a Goth Metal influenced by Crematory, My Dying Bride, Anathema. By late 1998 a new guitarist, Geist, joined the band, but due to internal problems they split up. In late 2000 a new project with the same line-up minus the old vocalist begins. They adopt the name Congruity, now pursuing a Death/Black Metal style. In 2001 a first demo with three tracks, �Equilibrium�, is recorded. In 2002 Quim is replaced by Victor Sapage, and in 2003 T�nia leaves the band.
