Celtic Dance was formed in 1994. They recorded a rehearsal track for a compilation tape released by Black Legions Prod. And in 1995 they released the demo �Goddess of a Thousand Knights�. They played some gigs in 1996 and re-recorded their first rehearsal track for inclusion in the �Southern Assault Vol.1�. The signed for Shivadarshana Records and in 1997 they recorded the album �Ancient Battlecry�. However, problems between the band and the label arose and the deal was broken. The vocalist ended up releasing the album himself, through his label Sword Productions. After great line-up changes, the band entered a period of inactivity.
