After being involved in several musical projects between 1997 and 2002 in Portugal,  Lidagon decided to create his own band alone. After a short stay in the UK, he returned to  Portugal in 2003 looking for his old friend Velpecula, who shared the same vision of  Lidagon. She embraced the Blizzard Winter project and both moved to Ireland, where they  started immediatly composing and rehearsing. As in every creative process, Blizzard Winter  took many shapes and developed to a fast and strong Black Metal.
Meanwhile, Corvus Tenebrae was involved in the project, helping Lidagon and Velpecula in  several ways such as drum programming or doing vocals, but soon he became a regular member  of this project. With this line-up and with the help of the drummer Vindex, they recorded  a rehearsal track entitled "Floresta de Lanas" in 2004, which was only given away to some  friends.
In the begining of 2005, 3 tracks were recorded for a split cdr with Vorago and  Coldblooded. After a long delay, Blizzard Winter decided to release those tracks as a  demo, along with a rehearsal
track from 2004.
At the present time, the band is finishing the recordings of another demo, entitled
"Gateways to Rebellion".
