"Pan?" Gohan asked in disbelief.

"What?" She played in innocent.

"Don't give me that look, I invented that look!" Videl yelled.

Pan laughed. "Come on, it was just a kiss."

"With the guy that..." Gohan trailed off, looking to his old highschool friends. He sighed exasperatly and shook his head. "What is going on in that mind of yours?"

"It was a natural reaction. I was annoyed and couldn't elbow him, I'd have killed him!" She exclaimed. "You know about Saiyan strength first hand, Dad."

"Ah, lighten up, Gohan. It was just a kiss." Arasa said.

"There's special circumstances." Gohan said, his voice on the edge of yelling.

So far today, David had been shoved, punched, screamed at, embarrased in front of his only alive and sane family member, and now kissed by an eighteen year old girl; it had been an interesting day. "I think I'm gonna go... uh, Melissa, let's leave them alone."

"Stay!" Videl and Gohan yelled at the same time, practically reading eachother's minds.

Pan stifled a laugh. "Excuse my INSANE family." She rolled her eyes. "Just because my dad overreacts about everthing. Anyway, I'm starving, we were going out, DAD." She turned to him again.

Gohan blinked at Pan, she was completely disregarding any and all authority he had over the situation, that really wasn't like her...

Melissa and Pam yawned simultaneously and then laughed.

"That was weird." Pan said. "If you all are tired, we can always go out some other time."

"Yeah, I need to get up tomorrow, anyway." Melissa stretched. "Uncle D, let's go." She grabbed her still dazed uncle's hand and started toward the door.

"Uh, bye." Pan watched in amusement.

"Bye Pan, you know where to find me!" She called as she closed the door to the stairs.

"We've got to get up for a flight!" Arasa suddenly exclaimed.

"We could fly you." Videl shrugged. "Get you there in a fourth the time... or not." She added at thier not-so-thrilled expressions.

"Don't like the idea of being carried around by me or my daughter?" Gohan asked Sharpner.

"Not especially." He ran his hand through his hair.

"Well, you don't want to oversleep." Videl reminded.

"Oh! Right. Pam, Sharpner... come on." She took her husband's hand.

"Bye." Pam said shyly.

"Bye, Pam. Call me, we'll hang out sometime." Pan told the younger girl.

Pam nodded and joined her parents as they said thier goodbyes and left the building.

Pan wiped her mouth on her sleeve and looked at her parents. "I'm uh... I'm gonna go do some thinking, don't follow me, I'll call you in the morning." She jumped from the roof and took off into the air.

Gohan was about to follow, but Videl grabbed his arm. "Leave her alone, Gohan. She needs to sort things out."

The demi-Saiyan frowned, but allowed his daughter to disappear into the night.

"Hey, Juunana-gou." Pan came up behind the cyborg.

Juunana stopped and turned around. "Oh, hi, Pan-chan. What are you doing out here so late?"

"I could ask you the same thing." She said.

"Just thinking." He shrugged.

Pan leveled a hand to the alleyway behind her. "So am I. This place is a reminder that things could be alot worse."

"Hn. Me too." He said. "Not just this particular place. The city clears my mind... kinda like the woods used to do."

"Whatcha thinking about?" She inquired.

"Just things." He evaded.

"Really, Juu-kun. What's on your mind? I wanna help." The Saiyan girl said.

"Well.. I've been having these dreams. Very vivid dreams." He sighed. "And I think it's about Juuhachi and mine's past."

"Oh.. really?" She looked up at him, still slightly shorter than him. "Have you ever tried finding text on yourself. I mean, two teenagers suddenly disappearing would be pretty suspicious. There's gotta be tons of old newspaper articles about it."

"Unless we were homeless or orphans." He pointed out.

"Do you think you were?" She asked.

"I... I don't know." He shook his head slightly. "I don't remember much.. I just remember that we looked the same except for our eyes... they were green, not blue."

"Wow, green eyes, huh? My eyes used to be blue, but they just up and changed one day." She smiled. "Juuhachi-gou, too?"

He nodded.

"Different bandanna, too." He tugged slightly at the material around his neck. "It was royal blue."

"Nifty." She smiled and poked her own orange bandana. "Gotta love em, ne?"

He smiled. "Yeah."

"You know... I can picture it... you having green eyes..." She squinted slightly. "But not Juuhachi-gou."

"Only me?" He asked.

She nodded. "It would fit with you... but green eyes wouldn't look right on Juuhachi-gou. Not to me, at least." She shrugged. "Oh well, can't change the past. Unless you're mirai Trunks."

"You'd have liked him, I think. I only met him once... actually tried to kill him... but, he's alot different from this one." He said.

"Really?" She asked.

He nodded.

"So what exactly were the dreams about?" She inquired.

"Just regular things, going to school... friends... parents. Just our lives in general. And they always end right before anything that would give important details away." The cyborg sighed deeply. "I just wish I knew more."

"Then why don't you try to find out about it?" The girl asked.

"Well... it'd be sort of hard to..." He trailed off.

"Come on, Juu-kun. There has to be text on it somewhere. I know, I'll help you!" She said happily. "Winter vacation starts tomorrow, we can go to the library and look around. Two teenagers mysteriously disappearing would be extremely suspicious. I'm SURE we can find something. What do you say?"

"But..." He inwardly cringed. The male cyborg was as curious as anything to find out about his own missing past, but he wasn't so sure he was ready to know what had happened to him and his sister. What if it was really bad? What if they really HAD been orphans or homeless... did he want to know?

"Juu-kun." Pan frowned. "Juunana-gou."

He looked over to her.

"You know you're my friend, and no matter what we find, you always will be. But certain things need to be uncovered or you'll keep being curious, and keep having these dreams, until your find out about your past." She took his hand. "We'll find out together."

Juunana-gou looked down at the girl and nodded slowly. He knew he couldn't do it alone, but maybe... maybe they could do it together.
