| Welcome to my page that will explore the concepts of Chichiri's kawaii nickname, Kitsune-san. In the subbed version when Miaka first meets Chichiri she calls him Kitsune-san (while in the dubbed she just calls him Mr. Fox). So what is a Kitsune? A Kitsune is a magical spirit fox that is known for being very mischevious. There are many different types of Kitsune (depending on good or evil and sometimes what element they are) and they all feed upon the Earth's essence. Since Kitsunes are spirits they are ageless, but they are expected "die" at 900 years. Kitsunes that live past 900 are highly respected and if they live to be 1000 they acquire nine tails. Well they are both alike in magic though I don't find Chichiri to be very mischivious ^_# Kitsunes can also change their appearance like Chichiri! They also feed off the essence of the Earth, now Chichiri seems to love the outdoors very much and one of Chichiri's songs is translated to Nature's Beauty.....Creepy.......maybe Chichiri is just a Kitsune in disguise o.0 |
