This page will feature links to sites about manga making as well as books about this subject- as soon as I find them! Most of the time- you'll find that the Manga to a series- such as Fushigi Yuugi is far batter than the Tv series(if there is any). The reason for this is that Manga allows the author a wider audience and more freedom with content. One has to remember that the animated series is not made by the manga artist(exception is CLAMP- they do everything themselves) but by other people who talk to the manga artist and do take artistic freedom with the characters and minor plot line adjustments. A good example of character changes would be found in the animated Flame of Recca vs. the manga. A few of the pairings are different and the animators had a thing for Domon which is good and bad. Good causeTomo-sama does his voice and bad because he's such a bad character!
